Paul Begin his Talk with Saying He Demonstrated Outside the Embassy. In His London Days. Now He was in the Embassy. Giving a Talk !.Paul is a Translator of Czech Books in to English. When I Started Leading Czech Books. Josef Skvorecky was My Opening. Books Like " The Cowards ", Lieutenant Boruvka Book,s, Bride Of Texas, and the Famous " The Engineer Of Human Souls ". When Vaclav Havel Died I Was Devastated. Though I then Had the Double Blow of Josef Skvorecky Passing Away Soon Afterwards. Was Tragic Hearing from Paul. Josef Suffered with his Illness,s Badly. In his Later Years in Exile in Canada. Know About Josef & Vaclav Havel. Books & Plays. Did Not Know Much About Ivan Jirous. Poet & Very Important Person in Czech History. Ivan was Leader of the Iconic, Plastic People Of The Universe. Paul Also Sang in the Band. Plus Advising on English Lyrics. Delving in to the Plastic People. Actually Really Like them. Love the Saxophone Playing of Vratislav Brabenec. Can Hear Their Influence in My Favourite CZ Band, Support Lesbiens. In the Chopping Guitar Playing. Paul of cause Had Problems. In Red Ruled Czechoslovakia. Interviewed at Length. Being Canadian and a Foreigner. Later Expelled. Paul,s Talk was Very Entertaining. BCSA Members Are All Very Friendly & Welcoming. Talking to a Very Nice Czech Woman. About Another Czech Favourite Writer, Ivan Klima. Plus She Asked Paul to Kindly Sign My Book. To The Castle And Back. By Vaclav Havel. Which He Had Translated. Something Which Makes Me Proud & Happy. I am Entirely Grateful. It Will Always Have Pride Of Place On My Book Shelf. Drank Free Pilsner Urquell. Supplied by the Hard Working Czech Embassy Staff.
