The Janacek Opera is in Three Acts. Story that Enfolds. Begin,s with Emperor Rudolf 11. Surrounded in His Court. By Alchemist,s etc. Get,s a Greek Physician. To Create a Elixir. To Give His 16 Year Old Daughter. Ever Lasting Life. Potion Does not Work at First. Physician is Thrown in to Prison.

When Elixir Kick,s in. She Becomes a Singer. Over Many Year,s. She Changes Her Name. Though All With the Moniker E M. By the Time it is 1922. She is Emilia Marty. Look,s Thirty. Though Really She is Over 360 Year,s Old !.

Act One is Set in a Lawyer,s Office. Where the Law Suit. Gregor v Prus is Played Out. Act Two on a Stage of a Large Theatre.

Must Say Something Now. About How Classical Music. Sometimes Shoots itself in the Foot. Many Important People are Trying to Get Newcomers involved in Classical Music. I Am in a Musical Society. " It,s in Czech ". Even Though I Cannot Speak Fluent Czech. I Love the Rhythmic Sound of the Czech Language. Most Opera,s are Sung in Italian. Sure Not Everybody is Fluent in Italian ! Or Read the Programme,s to Understand !. Feel I Received So Much More. Just Watching & Listening to The Musical Performance.

Mainly a Czech Cast. Many Prom Debut,s. Not that You Would Know it. Liked Eva Sterbova ( Soprano ) - Kristina. Jiri Klecker ( Baritone ) - Stage Technician. Jan Vitek ( Tenor ) - Albert Gregor. My Favourite is Jan Jezek ( Tenor ). Who Plays Senile Old Admirer. Hauk-Sendorf. With Much Comedy. Hauk, a Sprightly 100 Year Old !.

Act Three, after a Chocolate Ice Cream Interval. Is Set in a Hotel Room, at Dawn.
Star of the Show. Is Glamorous, From Finland. Karita Mattila ( Soprano ). Who Plays the Lead Role. Emilia Marty. Words Fail Me. How Wonderful She is. Changes Her Appearance Through the Acts. Has Her Taken Back in Act Two. Even Sings Through a Red Veil !.

Janacek, Choose to Colour His Opera Heroines, in Latter Life. Influenced by His Love in Real Life. Of Kamila Stosslova. A Women 35 Years Younger then Him. Though Janacek has Much Sympathy for Marty. He Describes Her as " Cold " & " Icy ". Janacek gives Some Novel Idea,s in This Opera. Their is a Telephone. Plus a Toy Tin Drum, in this Score.

Janacek,s, Very Good Music is Played by the BBC Symphony Orchestra. With the BBC Singer,s. Impressed at the Early Percussion. Played by the Orchestra,s, Alex Neal. The Conductor, Jiri Belohlavek. Conductor Laureate, CBE & Our Dvorak Society President. Plus He His a Foremost Interpreter of Czech Opera. Special Mention as Well. For Stage Direction. By Kenneth Richardson.

This Year Has Been Very Hard For Me. Lost Two Loved One,s Parent,s in The Czech Republic. Plus My Mother. Has Bad Health Too. Jiri Belohlavek is Suffering From Cancer. So When Karita Mattila Hugged & Embraced Jiri, at the Operas Finish. Not Ashamed to Say. Tears Started to Flow !. Plus was So Happy with the Emotional Musical Performance, Of the Opera. Leave the Royal Albert Hall. After Seeing & Hearing a Truly Memorable Occasion.
