Looks Like My Smetana Polka,s Have Gone West !. Find it Strange Replacement Pianist Cannot Play Them !.

Tonight,s Programme is Changed around a Bit Too.

Concert Opens with Anton Reicha, Wind Quartet in E Flat OP 88 No 2. Reicha Known for His Wind Music. Though I Have a Fine Piano CD Of His.

First Thoughts. Clarinet Player, Plus Sax, too. Matthew Hunt. Makes a Good Leader of the Ensemble. He Introduces Each Musical Piece. With a Amusing & Easy Going Style. Plus Amy Harman Plays a Mean Bassoon.

Second Item Tonight. A Double Bassoon Solo Item. Quite a Novelty !. Leamington Has the Grand Union Canal. Much Nature in Abundance. Birds a Plenty.


Composer Sculhoff in the Dadaism Style. Going Off in a Tangent. With the BassNachtigall. Was Very Interesting. Played Well.

Many Fought in Russia. Which at The Time the Czechs Classed as Friends to Their Cause. The Legion Fighting in Major Battles, Like Zborov.

Not To Worry. The Leader of The Prazak String Quartet. Jana Vonaskova - Novakova Plays This Lunch Times Concert. With the Pianist Martin Kasik.

Jana had a Scholarship with the Royal College of Music.

Concert begins with Smetana,s " From My Homeland ". Dedicated to His Patron. Prince Alexander Thurn - Taxis. Must Have Liked it. In Return The Prince Bestowed Smetana with a Ivory Snuffbox !. Something Not to be Sneezed At !.

Smetana of Course is Credited of Been a True Czech Nationalist. While in Weimar on the Invitation from Lizt. He Heard in Conversation with Austrian Conductor Johann Von Herbeck. That The Conductor, Thought That the Czech,s were Incapable of Creating Music of their Own !!!. Smetana Thought, Ano, Right !!!. Surprised He Did Not Punch Him !!!.

This Years Festival in Connection with The Centenary of the Founding of Czechoslovakia.

BBC Who in General give Czech & Slovak Music. Much Air Time. Decided in their Wisdom. Not to Mark the Centenary.

At the BBC Proms. One Czech Entry. ( Dvorak Cello Concerto ). In the Worlds Greatest Classical Musical Festival. Well, That,s What They Say !.

Tonight,s Concert by the Guarneri Piano Trio. With Over Thirty Years Experience Together. Some Feat !.
Seen them Play Two Years ago in Leamington. Must Say I Am a Big Fan of Pianist, Ivan Klansky. Ex Junior Chess Master. Teacher & Good Travel Planner. This Month in Praha, Plays Solo. Dream Gig, If i was there.

When you See this Aging Trio. Cannot Help Thinking. That it is a Privilege. To Watch & listen to Them. Sometimes Audiences can take these things for Granted.
